We discussed this in your law degree workload thread dean

but anyway
using UWS's system its:
3- pass
5- Credit
6 Distinction
7- High distinction
Add them up and divide by no of units

I don't know how UTS does it but this is how I got told it was

so going by that system:
GPA semester 1 for me with 3 ds and 1 c 5.75

semester 2 1 p, 1 d and 1 HD = 5.33 recurring

GPA for first year 5.57

See Frgid's ultra useful post in the transfer forum. It explains the whole process better than any of us ever could.

why would you use the UWS system? UTS/UNSW/USYD and lots of others use the following:

0=fail
3=concessional pass
4=pass
5=credit
6=distinction
7=high distinction

I have no idea who told you that, but you're wrong. Pass - 4 (just looked at my gpa to make sure), and there are no such thing as concessional passes at uws (abolished last year sometime). I think all unis in syd use the same gpa system except macquarie?

Conessional passes have been abolished at most unis, in most courses. However, they may still exist in some courses, thus I provided the valuel
