Was anyone unsuccessful in getting a grad position after they graduated?

If so, what did you do? In the Commerce degree field, I know a few people who got into inbound specialist call centres, but most found a grad job.

What other pathways are there? Has anyone used them?

Or is the main choice just to wait a year and apply again?

I'm curious too actually. Any insights?

My guess would be that you'd be able to get a grad job (with companies that specify recent grads rather than final-year grads) so long as you at least have something meaningful to say about the year you gapped.
