haha, yeah civil engineering is great fun, and by helping HSC students doing maths questions, it makes me feel like im actually doing study like i should be doing in these holidays, and of course it is fun...and it makes me feel good coz i can do most of the questions coz they are not as crazy as uni maths questions...taylor series.....aaargh

Thank you evilc and mitochondria for your proofs, although mitochondria's may be more mathematical;).

Mitochondria, once you raising both sides of the equation by the powers of e, isn't it supposed to read e^y=x not e^y=lnx because you said raising lnx as a power of e, "cancels" as ln.e = 1?
