hmm.. maybe this is the right forum to post this question.
i need a program that allows me to graphs math functions and curves.

similar to the ones in fat muscle's notes

because i am making my own notes, and if i find it usefully ill upload to the site aswell.

any suggestions?

i believe u can not make grids in mircosoft word?

i am currently using word, and i find a pain making graphs

Use Microsoft Excel (or any other spreadsheet program), you can use it to graph functions. Make one column to represent the x-values (starting from say -100 to 100 with increments of 1.0), using autofill. Then make another column next to it for the y values by inserting a formula (Insert -> Function). Then fill the y column down, and graph it by selecting the whole y column and going to Insert -> Graph. It really helped me for graphing in Yr12.
