G-Max cinemas are only at Greater Union Campbelltown and the NEW Greater Union Parramatta which opened last week

I went and saw a movie in GMAX on tues. The cinema was so huge. As we were going in because we booked tickets towards the back they said if you want you can move further up the front because the sound tended to echo as it bounced off the walls.

However middle of the middle in the cinema was good.

Who else has been?

You guys should check it out! I thought castle towers cinema 1 was big, but thats nothing comared to cinema 1 GMAX at Parramatta.

This cinema Owns!

yeah, we got em at campbelltown when macarthur square got really huge, a few months ago. ive been in the g max cinemas 3 times. i dunno, i kinda dont like how big it is. i mean, the floor space at the bottom is about as big as a deadset football field, and its so huge, the sound just echos around, not giving the same surround sound effect at the smaller cinemas. its not as... nice...as the normal cinemas.

i dont like how you dont get to choose if you wnna go in g max. like i saw Click the other night, and it was just showing in the g max cinema whether you like it or not.

at least its the same price.

I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I'd love to someday though :D

The new Hoyts at Westpoint Blacktown was actually the first cinema to have this type of technology, though I'm not sure if they are exactly the same. They label it as a "Multiplex" screen.

It's not just the question of size- but is it a good movie watching experience than Senstadium? If what you say is true about the echo; then I'd rather watch it in Senstadium or a normal cinema so that I don't have that- especially since a lot of movies nowadays have a lot of dialogue, and we don't live in a country where movies in the cinema are fully subtitled :)

Btw any idea what the seating capacity is like for a G-Max cinema?

Whats the difference between a couple seat and a non-couple seat?

As a site, Campbelltown is much better.
Parramatta had no space to go out so it went up and looks dicky.

GoldClass is another experience all on its own.
Except the tables are designed badly.
