Congrats. Did you read the HPT book at all? Because I am reading through it but the majority if common sense and things you should of already known before you got your licence and especially after having your licence for over a year.

pritnep: i didnt read anything to pass my green p's test. it is so simple easier than red p's test.

just press the screen as soon as u see a car backing out, a lady with a pram, any sort of thing u should slow down for if a potential hazard. Oh and sometimes u gotta press to go- press the screen to go if nothing it oncoming or obstructing ur view. too easy

ps Congrats ennaybur u can now legally go 10km faster with 3 extra demerits.

There was a HPT book??

HAHA I passed the first time.. but I rang up my bf and told him I failed.. then he started yelling at me for being a dickhead and I wasnt cautious enough.. and that even he didnt fail the P2s whereas he's failed in his P1s and Ls hahahahha

Likewise, I dont know anyone who's failed their HPT.. it's impossible, I swear..

Nope I didn't book my L's I just turned up and did it. I guess it depends on the RTA the time and day.

Is it alright to book it online and pay on the day?

I think so..

But online booking requires bank details.. if you're comfortable with giving it over the net..

I just always go to a RTA.. since I'm usually near one anyway..

I failed my greens twice (got it third go, at a different RTA)
Passed P1 first go
Passed L's first go

The touch screen computer at first RTA had been hit a few times too many i think. It wasn't sensitive enough. In the first few questions, i had to slam my fist twice just to press the button. I suppose i should have told them so that someone else didn't waste their money as well, but they would have thought that i was just complaining.

The third time, the lady was expecting me to fail (because on the application, it had been filled in twice before, but ticked "failed") and when i passed she said "wow, i don't think I've seen anyone who has been that accurate before".. I was thinking "yeh, that's because i read over the book until my eyes bled, i went out and practiced/observed for 10 billion hours and prayed to mecca for 5 years before hand, because if i failed this time, someone at the RTA office was going to die"

Didnt you get a practice run before the actual HPT to get a hang of the touch-screen?

If mine didnt respond, I would of told them straight up.. screw what they think, you paid to do the test!

Oh just to update everyone I got my green P's this morning. My first attempt 20minutes and $102 later and it was all done and dusted and I had a new licence.

What everyone says about the HPT is so true, so thanks for your advice all. :D

EDIT: Oh and I didn't have to book either. The two closest RTA's to me just allowed you to go in and do the test whever you wanted. I was there a little after 8.30am (when the open at 8.30am) so it was very quite and a good time to go as they weren't busy at all.
