yeah i must admit i used to get into eskimo joe back in the day. They formed even before they knew how to play, thats commitment. Songs like runby wednesday and sweater were cool, becuase they were simple catchy and just worked. Now they seem to be all pro and stuff, and everyone is getting into them, and it just doesn't seem as good as they used to be.

simple plan think they are punk, however they lack the punk element.....speed, they can't play anything fast all. There drummer is a one beat wonder, their guitarist plays about 3 chords at the same boring pace, and there sing has nothing to his voice, he just does some try hard yell.

Guide to Better living was great in that you hear the hard rock riffs they stole from around the place without becoming intrusive - in part songs from cheap trick, testament, megadeth, scorpions, ted nugent, the melvins have been drawn upon. Maybe just a single bar from here and there, but it's recognisable from one of these greats. And it had some great singles.

Too bad you're getting into a band way past their prime.
