Did anyone get called today and guaranteed a spot with a lower UAI than the cut off for the course you wanted? I got a spot for a course at Wollongong with a cut off of 80.00 and my UAI was 76.95

why??? on wat basis did u get accepted....

Obviously because the course wasn't filled with people who got high enough UAI's they were going down the list and accepting people with lower marks. I was told that I got a place because my marks in subjects related to the course I wanted were high.

got a uai of 64

and wollongong gave me a gaurenteed spot into a course of 80

That's the same course as me I think. There must of been heaps of places left.

I think if people knew they would be going down to a UAI of 64 offering places for a course with a cut off of 80 more people would have made it one of their preferences.

i was wondering why i was given a spot but the lady who called me told me cause i did really well in both adv english and math/mathex1.

My other subjects lowered me down quite considerably
