bro dont diss on unsw like that. unsw is beating usyd in the rankings the only thing carrying usyd is their prestige

plus unsw has its aesthetic spots if youre willing to look for them

Commerce is a fake degree that's only popular in NSW.

UNSW 97 for commerce, USYD 96 for commerce. Way too high for some degree that an AI could do

At University of Melbourne, the most prestigious university in Australia, it's only 92.
unsw commerce is not 97 pal

usyd doesnt do undergrad med (unless you get 99.95), so probably unsw for med, unless youre going for postgrad
law most of the lawyers i know went/go to usyd so it feels like usyd law has more aura, but i do also know some unsw law students
ppl usually say usyd is more theoretical and unsw is more practical. the two friends i have at usyd do pure maths and philosophy, while my unsw friends do engineering and aviation so that kinda speaks for itself. a friend at uts does business but might be transferring to business/law this year (hes 2nd year).
cant speak for uts much though
"Practical" or "hands on" really just means "we don't teach you theory well/at a depth comparable to world leading universities"

UTS and RMIT (vic) are considered the most practical unis.

Guess what, you go to university for an education in theory. You would've went to tafe if you wanted a practical vocational education.

This is what I dislike about UNSW. They are made exams shorter (even removed them in some cases) and weigh less. Plus being the degree factory UNSW is, all exams are done on their awful computers instead of pen and paper.

Guess the reason they did this? To allow our very bright international students (who the uni admitted to a low standard) to pass with ease.

UTS is the worst of them though

There's no academic credibility at UTS. All exams are literally done at home online as if COVID is still around, that's how much UTS wants to cost cut.

You can literally just cheat your way to an 85 wam easily at UTS for the sole reason of EVERY exam being done at home with "AI web cam invigilation". UTS is just testing how well you can use AI without getting caught

So, if you actually want to learn stuff: USYD >>> UNSW >> UTS

i'm not sure
i was thinking medicine or law maybe?
Well if u r thinking of med then UCAT + ATAR will probably decide whether you can even get an interview. UNSW is slightly lower ATAR, probably 99.6+. I will say tho for med, the uni doesn't matter, its more of a matter whether you can get in or not.

For law, I'd say both unis are pretty good and your decision should be about the other aspects of the uni more than anything. Do note that USYD requires 99.5+.

Are you at UNSW? What do you take? I’m wanting to pursue further maths and Physics, but as you and others have mentioned apparently the Maths standards have dropped considerably at UNSW. Is this true
1st year for sure is garbage cause its all automated marked exams (with a question bank you get prior to the exams) done on computer (and all years for engineering)

It's literally the SAT
