Hey guys,
For english, I have a major assesment task on Harwood.
The questions are as follows:
Q1. (15 marks) A new literary magazine is being published in Ausralia. Each edition will feature a particular writer from the past or present.
Compose an article for the first edition which will feature the poetry of Gwen Harwood. In your article, explore the distinctive qualities of THREE of her poems, the way these poems reflect Harwood's concerns and literary sytle, and the values implied in different readings.
Q2. 'Gwen Harwood's poetry takes the reader on an inner journey in which they gain an understanding of themselves and their world.'
Evaluate this statement with reference to THREE of the poems set for study.
Can you give me some ideas as to how to lay out my essay and feature article. The poems I'm using are:
- 'Prize-Giving'
- 'Father and Child'
- 'The Violets'
Thank you
