Hey all. It's been a while but I'm back. Mostly because I need help... but I promise to stay active this time. 
Okay, here's the deal - Option Topic, Software Developer's View of the Hardware. Logic Gates. I'm good at this topic. I can do Logic Gate problems easily. There's just one thing that I get stuck on, and there're questions on this in the trial, I think (friends who did the HSC last year say that it is common):
Half Adders and Full Adders. I've got an idea of what they are, but I don't really know what they do. And let's just say that my teacher isn't exactly on the effective side (i.e. like an inflatable dartboard).
The textbook hasn't been much help, and I can't do practise exams without an idea of what I'm doing. Can anyone explain the basic gist of what they do and how to solve the problems?
