Half Yearly ATAR Estimate (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

Could you please give me an estimate based on my Semester 1 Report results?
My results which are on my report are in brackets, followed by the bottom and top mark of anyone at my school in that course this semester is square brackets. I know it's not very relevant but I just thought it might help a little to see how close together the rankings are.

So this is the format:
Subject - rank (my mark) [bottom mark-top mark]


Adv English - 8/73 (93) [37-98]
French Beginners - 1/7 (100) [26-100]
Italian Continuers - 1/9 (98) [54-98]
Italian Extension - 1/7 (47) [34-47]
Mathematics - 1/36 (92) [30-92]
Mathematics Ext 1 - 6/13 (87) [46-96]
Studies of Religion 1 - 5/83 (45) [18-48]


I wasn't entirely sure where to get the school ranking from, but I got it from here in the end.

Recent school rankings: 2013 - 250, 2012 - 160, 2011 - 195
As you can see, our ranking fluctuates quite a lot. Last year's cohort was particularly bad...

One other little piece of information: our school is reasonably good at foreign languages, we've had a few state rankings in the last 5-10 years or so. Also, to give you some idea, I think in 2012 we got 10 band 6s in Advanced English. Does that sound like it could be right?

I’d really like to get >98.5... Do you think this is possible/likely, depending on my final marks in Italian and French? e.g. the mid course exam we did for Italian Cont was a past trial, only altered very very slightly by our teacher, who has marked at HSC several times before. I got 77.5/80, plus 20/20 for speaking. So, say that I did manage to get around 98 for Italian (and French too I hope)...
What do you think?

Anyway, you have exceptional ranks. Particularly your languages - ben fatto!! Sei ovviamente molto intelligente!

Thanks, the school careers advisor estimated 99.6 but I don't really trust him... :S
