Has this thread now turned into a lets brag about our rankings thread?

And i have also noticed that the ppl on this board are generally high achievers but then again it's the net.

Slide is correct, i've been working pretty hard. Most of my exam marks and ranks were a little lower, i think english was 5th (stuffed up paper 2), but consistency is the main attributing factor to it.

Now the hard part is maintaining it. Oh slide, nice Adams quote there.

OMGGGGG!!! Well congratulations to all those ppl who did great. This is just making me so much more depressed. Well, here r my marks:( -

English adv 11/15 (i mightve ranked like 15th outta 60 or something)
Business 85% (I think my ranking went down to like 3rd out of about 75)
Legal 75% (maybe 3rd or 4th out of around 45)
PDHPE 96% (2nd out of about 15...by 1 mark urghhh)
Ancient dont know yet im thinking maybe mid 80's and I'll probably rank 2nd out of about 40 coz i alwayz come second lol

There goes my whole HSC. Theres no way im gonna get a UAI over 95 with marks like that. Or even 90 for that matter.

Chill sly will you? If you can bump the ranks up a little more you will be fine, you just have to do well in the exams because your marks will be moderated accordingly, and 96 in PDHPE? Congratulations.

Yeah well, my ranks WERE alot better but yeah now i just suck. I was coming 1st in PE, 1st in Business, 2nd in ancient, 3rd in Legal and i have no idea about English but probly about the same as I am now. Not only did I get really crap marks in my half-yearly's but my rankings went down too. This is too depressing, I need chocolate....

just wondering if at any of your schools they scale the marks they do in maths at our school which is going to mean that my 89.5 raw mark gets changed to 92. I dont no how it works though but they dont do it in any other subjects
that happened at my school in chemistry. lol i got 24/65... but we all got scaled and i ended up with 65%. :). all other subjects were in the 60's except for business, 82% and english 71%

Has anyones report marks been scaled?

I've heard a rumour that at my school they will be. Personally I'd rather know my raw mark, scaled marks are decieving.

We were given our raw marks and they'll be sent to BOS. But our scaled marks were used for our UAI estimates.

It's so strange, i'm quite happy with my results, but my top mark was in the 80's percent wise.

Maths - i got 37/60 but that was a pretty good mark in comparison! I was so excited when i got this.
English - 12/15, 14/15 and 8/15 (the guy who marked the reading task - 8/15 felt it nessesary to make everyone fail).
Modern History - Was so dissapointed, read the question stupid, got 12/20 and 20/30.
Ancient History - 25/25 and 17/25.
History Extension - 21/25
Economics - 44/60

Ranking wise the subjects i did best in were maths and economics which was so incredibly wierd.

I dont think so, unless your teacher is in love with u.

If this was from 2 essays. a creative writing and a reading task the mark that you said is impossible.

I would believe u if it was from 1 essay.

Maths 2u: 97 1st
maths 3u: 90 3rd
maths 4u: 86 3rd
eng adv: 67 10th?
physics: 80 theory 1st, 73 prac 10th? all together 4th :(
SDD: 77 2nd

Not only did I get average marks (literally in the middle of the class) for all but two of my subjects... but my principal singled me out to have a "chat" with her about how I have the potential to be doing better. :( I hope the exams were deliberately set real hard, cos at least then it won't get too much harder...
