Hi all. Don't you just love the HSC? I sure do. Anyway... I'm stressing so much because I went on an ATAR calculator and it stated my ATAR would be approximately 50. Now, I need around a 70 to get in to the uni I want (that's not including special considerations/SEAS, if I get accepted). I'm sorry if there are threads like this already, and I'm sure, but I couldn't find anything.
Anyway, here's the RAW marks that I think I will get in the exams
Information Technology Exam: 90/100
Modern History: 68/100
English Standard: 73/100
Software Design and Development: 50/100 (yeah, I'm absolutely terrible at this. Ironic, though, because I'm almost fluent in c# and python, it's just the theory stuff that I can't wrap my head around.)***
General Mathematics: 70/100.
So those are the RAW marks, and those are what I entered in to the ATAR calculator. It outputted a nice 50-ish. However, perhaps I was using it wrong. I found something called the 'rawmarkdatabase' here but I'm unsure how to use it. I read that it was the average of the TWM and Aligned exam mark? so essentially you would just average the two and THAT is what you would enter in to the ATAR calculator, NOT your raw mark?
I'm stressing so much I'm about to pull out my hair. Can you guys please point me in the right direction and give me some words of wisdom about what my ATAR might be?
Thanks so much.
***(Referring to above), what irks me is the fact that I'm good at computer science: My friend is in his second year of uni, and he attends lectures and tutorials, yet he frequently resorts to sending me his project file, viewing my screen via skype, while I show HIM how to do his project. It annoys me because I can code at that level, yet because I'm bad at some other things I might get pushed back and unable to do a course I am clearly capable of doing :/
Halp guise.
inb4 'L2SEARCH' or something... I hope not
