Yeah mechanics is mad once you finally realise how to do the questions and how it works.

Random tip: For a conical pendulum, the centripetal force is the resultant force acting on the ball (at the end of the string). The forces that cause this resultant centripetal force are the gravitional force (weight) and the tension(s) in the string(s). :)

other than that, probably conics. That was the topic I learnt all the theory for, then looked at a question and died.

I stand by my selection: Harder 3u.
I had my trial yesturday, and every question that i missed was a harder 3u (there was 1 circle geom, 1 induction, 1 probability which i probably screwed, 1 series cos i didn't bother to memorize the formula, and 1 random one).

yay Harder 3U is leading in the poll right now, probably because more people are up to it or have finished it so they've realised how hard it is :p
