Yea but rock, metal and nu-metal have become worse man... The other day some jerk off was trying to convince me that "Bullet for my valentine" was metal??? Like wtf??? I dont see how its metal...

And another thing the advance in music has created singers like "Lady Gaga" dont that suck??? Im more of a rock/metal person....

Well, they use heavily distorted guitars, utilisation of both clean and harsh vocals, double bass pedal, down-tuned instruments. I think it's safe to say that a lot of their sound is typical of metal music.
