Your question is rather self explanatory.

Getting assignments months and months early and then you forget about them and concentrate on the ones due in a week... only to have that unhappy fuck-this-assignment-I've-had-for-months-is-due-in-a-week moment creep up on you.

Teachers running late, teachers not coming, homework, assignments, study, actually having to go to class.
Not being able to sit in the quad or on the back field socialising for the whole day, not being allowed to watch the senior guys (a.k.a half my group) go play hockey or netball and whatever else they play because year 12 is "Important", not being allowed to go on camp, not having enough excursions, actually having to catch up on work you missed because you WENT on a excursion for another subject.
All the teachers whinging about the fact that students routinely miss classes every couple of weeks for rehearsals of some description, because even though I go to a PERFORMING ARTS high, our HSC study should come first and we shouldn't commit to performing arts activities.

Lol. Feels a whole lot better having had that huge complain!!!!

I know that feeling all to well. Just imagine getting a clump of assignments at the end of 2004, only realising that they are due (literally, not exaggerating) 5 days out from when they're actually due.

The fact that it doesn't measure intelligence, it only measures exam technique. The fact that you have to do exactly what you're told in any given question otherwise you don't get any marks.

Work placement. The idea of having to catch up on two weeks worth of classwork is scary.

And I hate it when teachers give you heaps of essay-writing tasks that aren't assessments, in addition to regular homework. Sure, it can help your exam writing technique, but we have actual assessments that we should be spending our time on..

i go to a pa high too....
i hate that the little funds we do get go to PA and not english maths etc so ina ctual fact there aren't enough texts for the junoir and in somecases senior years...

fair enough we are p.a but cant they make sure that we have enough textbooks before they ensure a piano in every music class room?!?!

what pisses me off most about the hsc is the uai... a high uai for a particular course doesn;t mean you have to be smart to do it... it just means its popular - THAT pisses me off

Having teachers that have absolutely no idea how to teach. When I did the HSC last year I had 3 teachers that were really bad, and then 1 teacher that I had for 2 subjects, both business studies and economics. For some reason he was good at teaching economics but hopeless at business studies. So out of my 5 subjects, I had 4 bad teachers.

Expectations..thats the worst i think. Doing all those assesments and being in class and suffering long days studyign are irrelevant if people inlcluding yourself dont have great expectations.
