Inequity refers to the unjust mpact of social, economic, and cultural factors. These include income, education, availability of transport and access to health services. Inequities can then lead to inequalities in health staus, which refers to unequal distribution of illness and conditions throughout the population. These Inequities minimise an individual's choices about their health and leads to disadvantages in health status. Some groups are at higher risks of inequities for example aboriginal and torres straight islanders, and low socio-ecominc status. So these groups are refersed to as the groups that experience inequities: Aboriginal and torres straight islanders, Socio-ecomically disadvantaged, men, women, eldery, disabled, overseas born, rural and isolated areas. These inequities are usually close to the social determinants of health. eg, access, education, emplyment and so on.

yes... The social determinents are the reasons why all australians dont have eual oppurunity to having high health staus. so they are the reasons behind inequities in health. If you get stuck, go back to the groups that experience inequites and write down why they are disadvantged. Eg. why are people who live in isolated areas disadvanatged..Because they have less access to facilities and health care services. So access one is the inequities for this group. You could mention that these inequities lead to these groups having higher rates of cvd, cancer and diabetes, etc, Eg. due to less access, they dont get checked for cancers as freqently, so this contributes to higher risk of cancer. but other than references it more about social determinents, and social, cultural and econmic factors are the main points of the syllabus.

So...... the groups that experinece inequites are due to the social determinats, and these include lower life expectancy, and higher mortality and morbidity rates. These inequites can lead to CVD, Caner, Depression etc.

Have I got it right?
