Do i have any hope on getting into uni with a uai of 85...while doing senior science.

i got 85.7 doing jackshit all year (mind you, no sleep during HSC period!)

Its possible and I know ppl who did Snr Science at my school (and the class overall wasn't that bright) who got better UAI than me.

Just do well in it.

of course you do.

if you go well in everything scaling will mean very little.

Last year, some kids did Senior Science and a few of them had SS as their only Band 5 or 6 subjects.

I did it last year and got a mark of 95 (about 90% raw??)
I got a UAI of 95.75 so you can definately get 85! Just don't bludge in it- i even did general maths as well.
If you take a bunch of easy subjects just make sure you know most/all of the syllabus and you should have no problems getting 90+
