i don't know what has happened to My Chemical Romance.
i've followed them since early 2004, and they've done nothing but get worse.
their first album was absolutely amazing, one of the best albums i've heard in my lifetime. they were a pretty cool down to earth band.
then when they got signed to reprise, everything changed and they just became another lameass band.
they kicked out their drummer matt pellisier because he kept stuffing up live, and got bob bryar instead. gerard way cut off his hair, lost his weight. they submitted their album to mtv and made themself famous.
and now i heard their absolute latest song "shut up and play" which will be on their new album, and the lyrics suck.
what, what. gerard wrote better lyrics when he was drunk and i hate what mcr is becoming.
i can't wait until everyone can get over them and they can go back to the way they were before they became famous. that's the mcr i started loving and i really want everything to be the same as it was before.

sure mcr have made some drastic changes, albeit they're not all good ones, but I still think they're okay.


True, the first album did rock - but sounds evolutionise as people change.

Do we want to be stuck listening to the same sound forever?

Seems some people you can't please. If they change their sound they're sell outs. If they stick to the same, people say they're lame because they can't make anything new.

Seems like some people here want to be stuck inside a bomb shelter forever with the stuff they like. If that's what you like, good for you, I'm not criticising you, never would.

Aren't we all above the point where we take glory by criticising each others music?

If I wanted an arguement like that I'd go back to primary school.

this song continues to intrigue and confuse me. i dont know! when i first heard it, i absolutely despised it, but its growing on me the more i hear it.
