Hey, guys I got a research assessment on Australia's Inflation record and I need some help. Can I get some advice on where I should look for these stats of whatever I require. I've been to ABS but it has so many stats and I don't know which one's are relevant. Any help would be appreciated.

hav a look at the reserve bank website - www.rba.gov.au

click on 'inflation' on the main page and from there you can access historical data, ear ended % change and all that sorta stuff

hope this helps:)

The ABS sends me round in circles too. I get so lost at that website.

There's a nifty timeline of the economy here. (yeah, i realise it says History of Design , change the filter bit to 'economy')
It only goes up to 2000, but its good for a history of unemployment and inflation and has statistics.

Bulmer definately goes further than both Riley and Dixon, and it doesn't usually cover the basic stuff, including definitions and the like. It has heaps of tables and graphs. But often when we ask our teacher about something from Bulmer he's like "ah...you don't need to know about it, don't worry about it", so yeah

In my opinion, use both (Bulmer and Dixon)
thats the best combo to use, speaking from experience

Thanks for the help guys.

On another note I'm using Dixon and here we go Excel. Do you think thats enough of is it a better idea to get another one. They all seem to have the same info and if I got another it would be hard to find the time working from 3 books.

its not about working seperately from 3 diff. books, its about using them in conjunction - ie. get the best bits out of all of them. I used Dixon as my core, for everything syllabus related. Then I went to Bulmer's books for indepth stuff, to add to essays, and finally Excel, for those formula calculations, and straight definitions which weren't so clear in Dixon.
It's always better to have additional resources
