I too agree on this however it's still good to know what it'll feel like in yr 10 so you know how it'll be in yr 11, even if the SC doesn't count.

it'll still give the pressure of how it will feel like, I mean, I'm pretty sure some students receive 5 assignments at one time (in prelim). Assignment and exam is not much difference tho

assignments - basically this is a project that you must do and incorporate what you learnt into it

exam - this is your actual knowledge getting tested

so....doing an assignment properly can help you in the exam.
