HELP: i don't know how add songs or to use a MP3 player (1 Viewer)

i got a package today with a free mp3 player because i bought McAfee security package for my computer well anyways i installed what they told me with the disk but i dont know anything about or how to transfer songs from my cd, media player etc to my mp3 player, please HELP

Find the music files on your computer (sometimes they end with .mp3 - it depends on the configuration of your computer).

DRAG them (or CUT or COPY then PASTE them) to the MP3 DRIVE for your player (it may appear as a REMOVABLE DRIVE in 'My Computer').

Then play them on the mp3 player.

If you give me some more information on the make/model or a picture of the mp3 player, I can give you more detailed information on the player.

its McAfee's own brand mp3 player not those like sony etc
its type is WAVE files with the tag thing etc
and yeah i tried dragging the songs, and when i played it in my mp3 player it went all fuzzy, the song wont play properly, rather like the song buzzes and sounded like its corrupted or cuts up

when you plug it in, does it have an icon in My Computer? like media drive or whatever? If you format it the drive then try loading teh files in again, it might work.

tried it, but the song goes inside my mp3 player but the songs plays wrong, its probably protected

it should appear in my computer as a "removable disk" and you just drag and drop

The program you posted is used to convert audio files on CDs to mp3 and hence reduce their sizes to a tenth of what they were. As far as I know, Audiograbber doesn't allow you to manage your mp3 player.

What do you mean by "it plays wrong"? In what way does it play wrong?

Hahaha, at work today we got a pissed off customer coming back to return that redemption player. I told her that it's not our problem since it was via-redemption through McAfee, but she wouldn't leave until she chucked a mouthful of swear words like 'What a piece of shit player'. I don't know which make it is, but I know alot of generic brand players are actually Lexar manufactured. Just speculating.

If it plays raw WAVE files, then why is it called an MP3 player if it cannot play the MPEG3 format?

Because it can be argued that the term 'mp3 player' today is synonymous to a 'portable music player' (using some sort of audio format file stored on either flash-based memory or a hard disk).

Although in this case, I will agree with you because my point above only really applies to general conversations between consumers, not situations like this where the company explicitly asserts that the device is an 'mp3' player.
