i have a bit of holiday homework thats due tomorrow, and i am having trouble with 2 of the questions.

we recently did an experiment on dc motors and torque...and i need to specify 5 ways to vary torque.

the other question is: compare the use of square and curved pole faces, in a dc motor

Using curved magnetic poles means the magnetic field is radial. The coil is therefore parallel to the magnetic field for longer and torque is at a max for a longer time than if the magnets were flat.
