I recently recieved an assignment where i've got to construct a dynamic model of a pure semiconductor to demonstrate and explain the behaviour of:
* how (and when) atoms lose electrons
* what happens to these freed electrons
* the creation of a 'hole' or positive charge on the atom that has lost the electron
and
* the movement of electrons and holes in opposite dirrections when an electric field is applied across the semiconductor.
Any ideas on how to contruct this would be great, as well as any other useful information anyone might have.
