Hey pplz, I have an assignment and I have no idea what to do it on, here is the question.

Students should be aware of the advantages and disadvantages of each of the software development approaches introduced in the preliminary course. Students will complete a case study of software being developed by a team of people. Particular emphasis should be placed on the people involved, how they interact and the skills the possess. Curretn trends in software development will also be considered.

Communicate your understanding of a commercial system studied using a case study approach by: -describe skills of various personnel contributing to overall computer based system and critically evaluate effectiveness to social and ethical issues raised by the system.

ooh i had to do a similar assignment when i was in year 11...

we had to research a commerical system and write a report about stuff like its implementation, the development approach that was used, conversion methods, the personell within the system and their roles, issues arising from the system and how they were addressed etc

You wouldn't happen to have the assignment lying around would you? What commericial system was it and how did u get ure info? I would pay for it if u could get me the assignment u handed in if it is of good standard!

i got about 5% on that exam, we messed up big time.

if its a group thing ( i kinda half read your post) assign each member of the group 1 member of a development team (or 2 if need be) like system analyst, management, etc. Then each person can soecialise their info in that, and talk about what they do in relation to the example, how they interact wit other members of the design team, and how their job has changed with software trends.

im sure that my group would have fared much better if wed followed that routine.
