Hi!

I have an assignment due very soon and i need help locating information for some questions. Any answers or links would be very much appreciated.

Similarities and differences between the species of Banksias: Banksia Serrata, Banksia Marginata and Banksia Ameula.
Map showing spreading zones
Explain how these fossils (Muttaburrasaurus langdoni, Steropodon galmani, Glossopteris , Thylacinus potens and Obdurodon dicksoni) contribute to the development of an understanding about the evolution of species in Australia.

Thanks!

With the fossils: they are all extinct platypuses who's fossils have contributed to the understanding about the evolution of the current extant platypus through their size and also their teeth. The teeth show how the food sources changed due to the changing climate, and so they had to evolve. Also, they have generally grown larger and their body is more 'streamlined' to help them move through the water. This is because when all the continents were connected the environment was different so they had to evolve. Note that this is only a very general idea. The nationalgeographic.com.au and australianmuseum.net.au are probably good places to look for more information
