How do I solve this? I can't seem to factorise because of the one. I know the answer but need formula/method to solve!!

$x(x^2-1)=-(x^2-1)$

$(x^2-1)(x+1)=0$

$x^3 - x = 1 - x^2\\ \therefore x^3 + x^2 -x -1=0\\\\ $Group$\\\\ \therefore x^2(x+1)-(x +1)=0\\ \therefore (x^2-1)(x+1)=0\\\\ \therefore x = \pm 1$
