always better with a friend and just memorise the general form of the sentence and see if you can apply that if given a sentence and other factors

Another question:

I was wondering what the translations in Japanese are for these phrases:

1/ "Where do you live?"
I know we can say "dochirakara irasyaimashitaka", but this would be confusing if we also
wanted to know what nationality someone was. There is a verb in Nakama for "to
live", "sundeimasu", but I'm not sure how to incorporate this verb into a sentence.

2/ "Who is your teacher?"
Would it be correct to say "Dore ga sensei desu ka?" because that doesn't sound right to
me =/

1) doko ni sunde imasu ka? (lit. "where do you live")

It's a bit more blunt than your example though. Use carefully.

2) dare ga kyoushi desu ka?

If "kyoushi" isn't the alternate word for teacher then replace it with the right word. I haven't had to recall that one in a long time.

Anyway, kyoushi is what teachers would use when asked about their profession, since it is not honorable to call oneself "sensei" (very condescending, self righteous even).

yoroshiku onegaishimasu is a polite way of saying "nice to meet you". Yes, it's that simple, and no Robert, it is not limited to being used to close a conversation, nor does it necessarily imply or mean the close of one
