hi.. i'm actually in yr 11 and i've got a research assignment on unemployment..

i need help on this question:
government policies to combat unemployment

i've been researching, but some of the information is really detailed and confusing..!

if anyone can help me out, i woulld really appreciate it ! :)

well theres 2 main ones i think
Expansionary macroeconomic policy (fiscal and monetary) and
Microeconomic and labour market reform

to combat u/e u gotta know what type of u/e is it first, then for each type there are certain ones u can use. for instance, if its demand deficiency u/e (due to low demand for output, hence no need for labour), then u'd wanna use fiscal or monetary policy. if its frictional u/e (switching betwene jobs), government can help speed up process by providing info, and other ways to help bringing potential employees and employers together.
