Hi all, I've been trying to attack the 2011 question for Frankenstein and Blade Runner:

"In what ways does a comparative study accentuate the distinctive contexts of Frankenstein and Blade Runner?"

The problem is I'm not sure how to link the context of each text to values and its presentations (techniques) as well as integrating context through paragraphs. I can't seem to write a good thesis for each paragraph. Has anyone practiced this question at all?

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

I actually structured my preparation around this question. What I do is I draw similar issues from both texts (i.e. inadequacy of man as a creator) and use that issue to prove that the contexts are fundamentally different, for example the issue of the environment, examined in both texts, shows difference: Romantics valued beauty and the environment, Capital age business-owners could not care less.

For me structure is:

1. Thesis
2. Issue 1 - Text A
3. Issue 1 - Text B
4. Differences in context revealed through juxtaposition

et cetera.
