Where the sky hits the sea
hi, just revising some english and i came across these sayings in one of skrzynecki's poems (kornelia). can someone please tell me what language feature they are? are they just plain metaphors or is it

"cave of silence"
"seas of loneliness"
"tides of absence"

The poem goes;

"the cave of silence
in which
she outwaited
tides of absence, seas
of loneliness"

thanks

the whole thing is a metaphor of the sea (notice all the water-related images?)...
arghh.. do u understand the change in this poem? =P i'm looking thru it now and i don't see what the change is. ditto for chronic ward.
