Molecular biology and genetics and combined engineering help
Hey, i got offered combined engineering at newcastle, in the main round, it was my first choice and ive accepted and enrolled into chemical engineering and science majoring in chemistry.
But ive been changing my preferences both in my mind and on uac for weeks and got offered molecular biology and genetics at sydney last night.
Now i dont knwo which one to do. I have researched before and have made pros and cons for both, i just need to confirm a few things about both courses
Firstly, i have read that, molecular biology and genetics, doesnt have many career oppurtunities, but other sources say otherwise, can anyone help me on this, i really enjoyed biology at school, and was just wonder where, if i could; led to.
Ive been told that newcastle is the best university in australia to study chemical engineering, for a few reasons, firstly due to the quailty of the lecturers and equipments which is a result of government grants. Also ive heard that chemical engineers are highly sort after and often can leave uni with a 6 figure salary (salary wont impact my desicion though)
Basically i was just looking for anyone to answer these question, or information for anyone who is/or has done either of these degrees and could give me some information on just what they are like, what the work load, and the facalties are like
Befoer you post any comments saying "why dont you just look it up yourself" i have been but i was looking for first hand information as well as information from another source. Though all trolling/negative comments will result in positive rep
err yer also affect my desicion is the fact i live in newcastle, and that none of my friends are leaving
but yer any help/information would be much appreciated
