I've just bought a 90' nissan silvia s13, why the red light beside steering wheel sometimes flash, and what's the function for the button above the red light. any brother knows? thanks

the red light could be heaps of things, handbreak on, check engine, low oil, probably not high beam but might be, fasten seatbelt light, door not shut properly light...

the button i think would most likely be your hazard lights.

You might as well tell us what kind of red light it is

My friend's car constantly has the SRS red light on and he said the only way to get rid of it was to reset the computer.... cept he cbf'd and he doesnt think it hinders his car in any way since he's had no problems since he bought it ages ago....

Yeah I dont think its anything major.... he didnt say its in the dash, if that was the case Id be worried because red = bad. But not giving much detailed info is prity dumb, unless we are all meant to be familiar with that particular car :bomb:

thanks, all Bros, I'd say I can't find the owner's handbook. the red light is just flashing sometimes and seems as an alarm. also the car is imported most signs are japanese which I can't read. but seems everything's normal. if any body has the same car as me, please leave your contact, which I can ask u all the question I'm doubting.
