uh actually last year when i went to enrol at usyd, i didn't need any type of id. no one asked for it, all they asked for was the offer letter.

oh and don't forget your student admin fees. i think for usyd this year its somewhere around the $580 mark. you need to pay that by cheque or by credit card on the day!!

ok ok i found the pamphlet they sent me last year.

it says to bring with you:
-the ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER from your uac offer letter (signed);
- your TAX FILE NUMBER (if you wish to defer to hecs);
- your CREDIT CARD or a CHEQUE (payable to the uni of sydney, no eftpos or cash) to pay your annual compulsory student fees;
- a trimmed PASSPORT SIZED COLOUR PHOTOGRAPH (two needed if requiring a travel concession for a private bus company); and
-if you are a permanent resident of Australia (ie not an Australian citizen), you will be required to quote the date on which your permanent residence was granted.

if you are unable to enrol in person you should arrange for someone who has your written authority and your tax file numer, to enrol and pay on your behalf.
