heheh yeh hugh dunstan has the same tone of voice for the whole entire lecture,, i think he even gets bored with his own lectures.
theres a guy for the biol1020 course cant remember his name but he puts the reproduction lectures soo well that it really is interesting,,, and also,, even though john ferguson is a bit of a groucho, he does do an interesting lecture, he dresses up oin a kilt and dances to represent the orbitals of electrons, and does magic tricks and scrambles eggs in the lecture.
sometimes his a bit tedious but he does go to extreems to keep you interested

eileen is the devil!
she is the mad cow!
she glares at people if theyre not paying attention and is an evil meany. she doesnt put any notes up, only the pictures,,she sucks.. how are things anyways?

things are well. eileen is long gone, so is gary (well for lectures at least, i still have to tolerate him in the labs

) and now we have michael linich...not sure what i think of him...he was pretty nervous last night (our first lec with him).
i have my lab today-oh joy, gary again! lol!! its ok, i only have to be strong for the next few weeks...lol...hehe, we're using cyanide, so my friends are trying to plan how they can poison him...

ok, let me backtrack. we did reports for bio, and handed them in in week 6, so they had week 7, two weeks of hols, and the start of this week to get them marked. anyways, the two lab helper peoples managed to get their 2/3's of the class done, but the demonstrator didnt mark his 1/3.
so now 2/3's of the class have feedback on how to improve for the next report (due next week) and the remaining 1/3 (which im in) have nothing to go on.
mind you, this report, i threw up in the holidays stressing about it.

great i say!!

so....yeah...

seriously dont stress so much, gary isnt particularly harsh it seems from my experience, however he is totally annoying and got a few mouthfuls in our class for not hnding back reports. there is a guideline on how long they have to hand back reports, i think its in the course outline somewhere, but you can go higher if as in your case, hlf the class has an advantage and he is being slack again! but seriously, dont get yourself worked up so much about it, because everyone else is in the same boat too and so the first year of lab reports is generally learning how to write them, and so they are aware of that and should mark accordingly. in our classes i know that the lab reports were only worth like 15% of our total marks, which ment that each lab was broken into 2-3% of our total mark. so really it isnt much. you should be more focused on learning the stuff then stressing about it cos the end of year exam is the place where you pick up most marks, and shows if you understand it.
so please dont stress so much, i was the same, but it is a waste of energy, and you gotta enjoy yourself in the hols! and at uni! so the point to this long rant: dont stress so much, and gary is a pig

i cant see anything in the course handouts...but ive decided im gunna go see eileen mclaughlin next week (that should be interesting, shes evil and i only understand about half of what she says) coz like its week 10 now, hes had it since week 6 + 2 weeks of hols, hes not there next week, so i wont get it back then, so at the very least i wont get it til week 12, thats 8 weeks he will have had it for. it simply aint fair.

eww! you obviously dont know this guy, coz if you did, you so wouldnt say that. but ive been in his office a couple of times and he hasnt tried to seduce me (even if he was sitting .5cm from me)...lol...

also, i found on the uni's assessment policy "After each assessment event, other than examinations, students should receive specific constructive feedback. This feedback should be provided within a reasonable time of the assessment event" and to me, 2 months isnt 'reasonable'

keep us posted, cos everyone in second year that was in his classes had the same experience and its sooo annoying cos you cant judge how well your going and whether your doing what they expect, especially in first year when you havent any other tertiary experience. also if you need backup just give me a yell
