How should we get our brains working?
Whenever I sit to study, I start yawning and feel sleepy.
I feel like my brain isn't active. I feel tired although I have had 8 hours of sleep :p

This happens for me during the morning as well. I've found that if I do what I want during the day then have a nap and study in the afternoon then I'm at my peak. But if it's imperative that you study in the morning, have some coffee.

Well, perhaps you should get some exercise then, after you've woken up.

I heard that taking a 45 minute nap can help :)
I thought you shouldn't nap for any more than 20-30 minutes otherwise you start to fall into a deep sleep and when you wake up, you're even more tired than you were before. But a 20 minute nap can do wonders for your concentration :D

Are you going to bed too late? I've been told that at our age we should be going to bed before 11. Also, looking at your computer or tv screen before bed can disrupt your REM sleep. Try reading for half an hour before going to bed.

EDIT: Dimming the lights in your room 20 minutes before sleeping is said to be beneficial also.
