Hey Everyone...
I am a relatively new member and I wanted to share with everyone the textbooks and leaning resources I find helpful when creating notes and revising for exams. I have posted several replies but thought that it would be better if I started a new thread.
I am currently studying IT over the internet through distance education as I attend a small country high school. I network with various schools, teachers and students throughout the district and work from a website that details the tasks to be completed for each module. The link below will take you to the resource page located on our website. It is a list of textbooks and learning resources that relate to various modules:
http://www.oaklands-c.schools.nsw.e...T/Resources.htm
I also use a textbook called 'Communicating in an IT environment' and it was helpful when creating notes for:
- Work effectively in an IT environment
- Communicate in the workplace
- Apply Occupational Health and Safety procedures
- Recieve and process oral and written communication
- Interact with clients
I also study IPT, so i often use my IPT textbook and other computing study textbooks from previous years. So if you are able to get your hands on any of thoughs then they can be useful as well.
My IT coordinator/teacher told me the best thing any of us can do is complete as many past IT exam papers has possible so that we can get an idea of the questions that will be asked. She said that many are similar just asked in various ways. The link below will take you to the IT section of the Studentnet website where there are a stack of past papers:

You may need to enter a username and password:

or if you prefer you can register to become a member. Also the BOS website contains last years HSC paper and an answer sheet with guidelines on our to answer them.
Another great resource is the HSC online website, it has a glossary and review questions for most of the core topics and elective strands and are very useful when revising for exams and studying in general...they also provide some notes. Once again just click on the link to view the website:

Seeya all later...
