That's exactly the point - everyones in the same boat. So if you got really high marks, and everyone else got really high marks, then your UAI would be lower because the UAI is a rank and not a mark.

It won't really make a difference, because everyone in the state probably did better in the exams than they comparatively would last year because each year the teachers learn better ways to teach the syllabus etc and more is known about it, hence you will still be ranked basically in the same position... it doesn't really mean anything at all....
