Im doing Pericles and i was just wondering with histeriography, would you need 2 opposite views.... ?
like for instance in the assessment of the democracy dring his time ?
Im aware of Plutarch kinda having a negative stance but im kinda uncertain about thucydides, was he pro - pericles?

Thucydides did a turn around in his opinion of Perikles, due to the influence of other thinkers on his work. You can see that especially with the speeches, and the way in which one of Perikles' in particular is almost anti-Periklean. But for the most part he was pro-Perikles, due to his oligarchic stance and also due to the way in which Thucydides had analysed the war.

Thucydides was supportive of oligarchic regimes, and the system of democracy when Perikles was there (i.e. democracy being run by a great man).

You don't need two opposite views (especially as our understanding of the Pel. War rests so heavily upon Thucydides), but you need to think about the way in which the sources we have (historical and archaeological) impact upon our understanding of the period.
