Ok, Im not sure/worried about this dot point.

Originally malaria was thought to be caused by bad smells in swamplands, or the bites of insects
Giovanni Grassi, at the end of the 19th century discovered it was transmitted by the anopheles mosquito
Ronald Ross Discovered the protozoan Plasmodium was the cause of malaria also end of the 19th century.
Quinine and Chloroquinine drugs have been used in the 20th century as anti-malarial drugs
DDT used to destroy the vector
Artemisinin found to be active against many strains of Malaria
Research into a vaccine still continuing


They havent asked anything on it yet
soo I have a feeling they can hit us with an 8marker asking us to demonstrate our knowledge of all things malaria
