The crux of it - in 2002, a British man was tested HIV-positive (he was tested a few times, so there is no doubt that he was). In 2003 and 2004, with separate tests, he tested negative, and he is not suffering from it. There have been reports of people spontaneously recovering from HIV before, in Africa, but those haven't been very well documented. Scientists want to study him further.
