Can being too honest be a bad thing in a relationship?

I can imagine most people voting for "Yes, it can be a bad thing."

But..wouldn't you want your partner to be completely honest? Being honest would be the best then wouldn't it.

honesty is the best, keeps all relationships upfloat because if you're meant to be, and they understand your inner thoughts through and through, it will make or break your relationship

I never have liked the relationships where the girl/guy spills their entire life out to the other one week one into the relationship. I think it screams clingy and that its usually better if things are spread out over time.

Some things I don't think should be said until you're further along the track, personal things. Like your skeletons in the closet that reveal you're a damaged person until you are more commited, I think that could potentially scare them away.

Honesty would only be completely good if your partner was exceedingly forgiving. Because we all slip up in due time

good most of the time
but say u hooked up with a chick (and u were drunk so it didnt really count) and u told ur gf ud probly hav a huge fight n hate each other for it. while if u didnt tell her everything stays fine.

u have to look at her feelings 2. if its not gonna make her happy, y say it? r u really that mean of a person?

on that.....being drunk so isnt an excuse, i mean, when im drunk or most of my friends are, and we're in relationships ive never seen them cheat on anyone...you still know what your doing is wrong
