To me, it means any and all of the above.

Hence it would be much easier to say "I kissed X" or "I fucked Y".

hooking up is the most confusing line!

in my group of friends hooking up means pashing like full on pashing though not just a little kiss.

but other ppl see it differently, like this girl was trying 2 find out if her bf had cheated on her so she rang the girl she thought he'd cheated with and asked "did u guys hook up?" the answer she got was "no we didnt hook up we just kissed", all that happened was a few pecks on the lips that justified a kiss but not a pash(hook up). but was blown out of proportion cuz she thought kiss meant pash and hook up meant sex.

i think the word hook up should not b used unless u r sure ppl know wat ur talkin bout otherwise their r 2 many arguements were ppl r not even talkin bout the same thing

usually there'll be some sort of confirmation, to avoid confusion :p my conversations with girlfriends usually go something like

"sooooo tell me, did you guys hook up last night?"
"haha yup.."
"so you got with him?"
"yup..." or "nooo we just made out!"

hooked up, IMO, is kissing and maybe feeling up and stuff..not sex

but i sometimes say 'hooked up', when i don't want the person asking to know everything.

But then..can "got with not be interpreted in the same way lol
hahah i think "got with" leans more towards sex, while "hooked up" is ambiguous :p

im with bubz on this one... "hooked up" to me generally means just making out etc, but "got with him" is referring to more sexual stuff. i generally avoid using either phrase coz my friends would probably misinterpret me and make a big deal out of it.

if someone told me they "got with" someone id take it to only mean kissing. Hooking up could mean the same or more. But i hate using the term "got with" or "get with" for some reason and hence usually say hooked up for whatever happened.

Means making out as I've heard it. It's stupid though, I'm not one for euphemisms. "kissed" "fucked" "jerked off to her passport photo", is much easier to understand.
