so basically in english the ranking thing is so different where there are like mutiple people 20th for example, skipping from 5 to 20 if 15 people got the same internal. So for hsc how does that work for moderated internal assignment? Do they take averages of everyone in that rank’s hsc mark? 🤔🤔💭

NESA states that an average of a particular number of Examination Marks is calculated to determine the Assessment Mark of students tied first or tied last. All students tied first or tied last would subsequently receive the average figure as their Assessment Mark. NESA does not mention that the same applies to students tied on other ranks, which would indicate that it does not. As such, assuming that there are no decimal differences in the marks submitted by your school to NESA among the students who are equally ranked (which could result in different ranks), students tied on a particular rank that is not first or last would receive an equal Assessment Mark that is determined the same way as that of one student ranked between first and last.

I hope this helps! :D
