question... you have a population of 250 million in the United States..... .6 million live in Nebraska...what percent live in Nebraska?:confused:

Percentage = (Population of Nebraska / Total Population) * 100%

.'. 0.6/250 * 100%

= 0.24%

Isn't that it?

thanks for helping me out. Your answer is correct. But, do you write .6 million... .6.000,000 in any other circumstance:confused:

@gretired: You can just get rid of the millions, because you're getting rid of the zeros (if they are the same on top, as on the bottom).

Make life easier for yourself, "0.6" and "250"

Don't write any more zeros than you need to, :)

I totally agree....I think I try too hard sometimes and only make simple things complicated
