Well a whole 2 yrs work (not so much yr11, but u get the pt) is now about to be put to practice once the HSC exams start...

How r u feeling in regards to this subject?

as for me, im feeling quite confident and i get the feeling i will perform way better in the final HSC exam compared to my internal mark (which is in the low 70's by the way)

do u guys feel ur up for a band 6? or perhaps a state ranking?

as for me, I think there's a possibility that i may still obtain a band 6 in the exam... (it's worth giving it a go) but i will be staisfied with anything above 80% as a final HSC mark?

I really hated chem when the yr started but somehow i began to appreciate the beauty of chemistry (even though this may sound hard to believe for those who still feel the way i felt about chem earlier), it's a pritty cool subject and i believe uni chemsitry will be even more exciting ( I hope).

nyways, just thought u guys might like to share ur opinions and feelings towards this subject?

good luck with ur studying and remeber to *study ur heads off class of 05*

Yeah, similar to you, I used to hate chemistry but now I realise that once you've got the basics its not hard, and a lot of the content is just rote learnt anyway, and the summaries I've made throughout the year have been great preparation (they allowed me to get a high trial mark)...I'm starting to enjoy Chemistry much more because I understand it, but i don't think I will ever enjoy it as much as physics...Hopefully band six is not beyond reach, I would be ecstatic if I can replicate my assessment mark in the HSC.

If I don't come first in my grade, somebody is going to get hurt.

the person coming 1st probably feels the same way... it's not easy being 1st... u have alot of pressure to peform well... and alot of hard work obviously needs to be put in, in order to maintain that 1st rank in the HSC exam.

u work so hard the whole yr and manage to obtain the top rank in school.. u'd be burning if someone beat u in the end...(although once u get a good mark it doesn't really matter what ur ranked...)

to be dead honest im not worried about chem hsc, i know the very stupid mistakes i made in chemistry and how easily it is to fix those and that places me in high band 5, so all I need is to polish up my calculations/shipwrecks and whack maybe a potential band 6 :uhhuh:

shit, that is so like me. in yr11 i looked at the book once and was dazed as i dun know anything. but in yr12 i forced my self to look and now like chem and find it quite easy and intuitive. but still disadvantaged by knowing absolute 0 year 11 chem. confident about a band 5 for hsc

Take a deep breath :)

Regardless of how screwed you are, that bit of extra work will go towards making it less screwed, potentially making it good. Isn't that a nice thought? :) Keep chirpy!

Oh I'm chirpy :)
Alarmingly so.

But, nevertheless, I am screwed.

P.S. I love you, you're so bubbly. <3
