Ok, so in 2012 they put 60 tagged into the wild full of an unknown amount of seals, they capture 120 again and find that 30 of them have been tagged.

Since were tagged

of the whole population in 2012 were tagged.

There are 60 seals tagged.

So that 60 seals are the 25%.

Are the estimated number of seals in 2012

Now we need to find the estimated number in 2008, it is known that the number of estimated seals in 2012 is 11% less than the ones in 2008

So we need to find a number which is that if we lower it by 11% we get 240.

We round down because we can't have .66 of an animal

in 2008.

Thank you. How about Question 26 (c) in the 2012 paper. I get the answer - 25.08 to the nearest cent. Is that correct?

So we count that there is 22 days worth of interest payed off.

We know that the rate is 20% per annum, so to find the rate per day

per day

So she payed -> 2398.90 - 1990 = $408.90 of interest.

Isn't it 23 days though, because you have to count the date of purchase?

Thank you. I was a bit worried before because my answer was because of the way our teacher told us. How did you realize you used the wrong calculation?

Because I noticed that my value was A LOT compared to the original value.
Then I noticed I missed out the % sign in my calculator :s

So my answer was right? I had a lot of trouble figuring out credit card questions so just need to be sure I've got it completely.
