So I was just wondering how hard it'd be to tranfer?

And how I'd got about that. I've just started a BA with UWS at the Bankstown Campus and I'd like to transfer to Macquarie.

The thing is my UAI is only 62. something. So what would I have to do to get a transfer to Macquarie?

Hi there, there is a lot of information in the sticky section if you look through it.

Basically, to get in you still use an entrance rank but this is altered by your tertiary study. If you have done one year of full time study then your GPA is turned into a rank equivalent and then averaged out with your UAI to get an entrance rank.

Macquarie has a 75ish Arts entry (which I guess will change slightly with the ATAR - still not used to that) so basically you would need an average GPA equivalent rank of around 85 - 90 I think, my maths could be way off (I'm an Arts student). That does not mean that you have to get that score in university, look at the PDF on the sticky and it has a GPA to entrance rank conversion thingy.

I think to get that you would be wanting to sit on a Distinction average. Check it out though (in the stickies). If you think that you'll get in, then just apply through UAC before the closing date and hopefully all should work out.

UAC applications open this Friday. You apply now if you want to start first semester 2010. Applications close on the 30th September.
