then further into year, the dress standard declined, and makeup was at an all time low.

Lengy is on the prowl and usually behind the bushes spying on a group of them.

Some people actually wear their year 12 jerseys to university?
Oh my, how embarrassing for them. :/

Can you imagine how sad it would be if mature age students in 2008 wore their year 12 jumper? "Class of '94" (Assuming it still even fits.)

:O

Can you help being a little lost if you've never been to University?

Apart from that, I don't fit the other criteria of first-years.

Agree with both. I remember first year i would bring the physics textbook to lectures for the first 2 weeks...By second semester i was just happy to bring a lecture pad or something to write on. By 2nd year i just brought a pen and scabbed paper off someone with a pad, and by the end of 2nd year it was more often then not: "fk it, i'll just download the lecture slides before exams" *sleep*

I'll add another to the list:
-I found that the first years are usually the ones who introduce themselves to you in lectures (i did a couple of first year subjects last year) just out of the blue.

They're *very* keen to learn, and be at lectures 10min before they start.

Nothing wrong with that, unless they're ugly.

- They try and write every word the lecturer says verbatim.

I'm going to be another one of the heels dickheads, if boots with heels count (chunky-ass boots they are, but still). I just feel more comfortable in them. I wore high-ish shoes pretty much all through HS, sport shoes don't go with much of my clothes, and flats are teh absolute suck for me. But no blistery shoes, they suck too.
i wear boots with heels in winter for the fact that if its raining they keep water out better than my chucks/flats/thongs and i loathe getting my feet wet if i'm not swimming or showering etc. i'd wear flat boots but i don't own any atm. generally speaking flat shoes FTW though.

and malfoy you're not the only one who wears makeup to uni. i do. not heaps, just like some lip balm and a bit of powder...i just don't like walking around in public with a totally bare face, i feel like i havent finished dressing myself or something

Hmm. Now I feel like a bit of an old fashioned geek. All these girls wearing makeup and heels to class... Am I the only one who feels there's a time and place for everything? If there's a lecture that finishes at 5pm on a Friday evening I'd wear heels and take a change of clothes. Otherwise, logic prevails and vetoes unwise wardrobe decisions.

Ohhh. I'm looking forward to Uni... <-- another sign of a first year :santa:
